THINGS THAT PET MY PEEVE

1. PEOPLE WHO TALK ABOUT THINGS THAT THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT.

I was talking to Elvia a few days ago and the subject of ADD, ADHD, and Bipolar came up. The kid has ADHD and takes meds to calm herself down. For those of you who have never heard of ADHD and are lucky enough to have never encountered anyone without the meds, ADHD is an inbalance in hormones. Most kids learn to control it before they realize they have it (i.e. their parents beat it out of them). When they take regular medication, it has a different effect because of the inbalance. When the kid had surgery, the doctor (who at the time didnt know she had it) gave her medication that would put her to sleep and instead she stayed awake through the procedure. The medication those with ADHD take is very similar to cocaine except it is not as strong or as deadly. It has all of the effects though. If you do not have ADHD and you take the meds (depending on if theyre day or night pills) you will be VERY wired or within about 15 mins, you will be dead asleep. in a sense, the pills are addictive. When they take the pills, theyre fine, but when they forget to take them, its back to their "old self". When kids go without the pills, they get hyper and violent and it wears them down. Because they were on meds in the first place, they had a healthy rest and their body wore down quicker. Without them, they wear out but their body keeps going so they get angry just like any other person who is sleep deprived and they get sick. Now people who dont know this are usually the ones who talk down on medication. Elvia was telling me how Tom Cruz was on TV talking nonsence about how kids shouldnt be on meds bc theyre addictive. Tom Cruz. A guy who probably spends little or no time with his kids and who most likely has never seen anyone with the dissorder without pills is going to talk down on meds. It pets my peeve that soooo many people are like that. The kids dad had never seen her without her pills until they went to flordia for a week and she forgot to pack them. She was hyper, sleepy, grumpy, moody, and above all, a teenage girl. He now always makes sure that when she comes over, she has them. It wouldnt be so bad, its just that 95% of people are like that. they talk about things they know Nothing about..

2.  PEOPLE WHO FEEL SORRY FOR PEOPLE WHO DONT DISERVE PITTY.

so when i was in summerschool, the teacher brought up the subject of teen moms. Not a good subject to bring up when most of the girls in there are teen moms. Well one thing led to another and we started talking about welfare. The guy in the debate said that we needed to stop sending money and food to third world countries when millions and millions of people in America are starving and dying every year. Good point, BUT he failed to mention that people die of starvation bc for some, a drug addiction or alcohol is more important than staying alive. He failed to mention that yes, it is bad here in the states, but its worse and there is no opportunity in those other countries. Here, School is free, education is free. You have the power and opportunity to be great here. You may not be a millionare or anything, but you get a chance, something people dont get in other places. We cant be selfish like that. We went to this taco place and got a few and were eating it in a parking lot and a homeless man came up to us and asked for money bc he needed to eat. We had no cash bc we bought the food with a credit card. we offered him tacos and he refused bc they were to spicey for his stomache. Now i dont care what people say, if you are truely hungry, youre going to eat whatever you can get. If any of you had the agony of having Ms Davis as your english teacher, you had to read an autobiography called Kaffir Boy. In it, he describes the true troubles of real poverty and tells how they went through dumps looking for food. Ive never seen any homeless people at dumps. in my own opinion, homeless people have it pretty good here compared to other countries. How many other countries have you ever heard of any homeless shelters? not to say that all homeless people are like that.. but i mean it pets my peeve that homeless people are painted as people who are in desperate need of help because they didnt have the same chance as everyone else to succeed. Most of them are addicts..

3. GIRLS WHO FIGHT OVER GUYS.

I dont even want to talk about this bc it makes me sick. If hes cheeting on you, he obviously doesent love you and why would you fight over someone who doesent love you?? nonsense!

Well on a happier note, i talked to Adrian and i feel much better. Its crazy how much he HEARTs music. Its like the one thing i try to stay away from, meaning in lyrics, is the one thing he emphasises on the most. Something deeper than the surface. When he freestyles, records, whatever, its beautiful. Its like he takes life and puts it into words that are capable of describing anything in a few measures and its amazing. I mean, yea i can BS my way through alot , but to make something that not only simmultaniously (ms?) means something else that people can relate to, but also make it so that it wraps around a perfectly composed melody. Its a natural high.

man thats enough. ill update a less grumpy entry later.

*i have a new phobea of ghonoreah. I saw a show and this chick caught it and now i dont want people even looking at what im eating or drinking or my lipbalm or lipgloss. im so scared that someone is going to give it to me without me knowing.
